The Urban League of Greater Miami is asking 50,000 Miamians to take The Pledge, promising to help guide, nurture and encourage the children of Liberty City.
The goal of The Pledge is to enlist the aid of the adults of this community to help the children in their lives — whether their own kids, grandchildren, foster children, students or Sunday school students, nieces, nephews and children of friends, to achieve in school, graduate from high school, go on to college, and live productive, successful lives.
You can help in ways large and small: by volunteering in a school that needs your help, by tutoring, by donating to organizations that help children succeed, by voting, getting involved in local organizations and the PTA, or just by giving a child your support. Will you pledge to do your part today?
