Our President & CEO, T. Willard Fair, appeared on WPLG’s Channel 10 Today in South Florida morning show alongside Miami Commissioner Keon Hardemon and Walter T. Richardson, Chair of Miami-Dade’s Community Relations Board to discuss the state of emergency with the rising crime in Liberty City and the lack of workable solutions to curb the violence.
As Mr. Fair states, the problem of crime in our community is a predictable result of four generations of children who have had to raise themselves, a community where 98% of the households are headed by women with no fathers, the absence of men, and the pervasive problem of hopelessness among the residents.
